Asian Law Center

The Asian Law Center’s teaching, research and public policy work on Asia and developing economies is one of the areas for which the UW School of Law is known nationally and internationally.

Barer Institute

The Barer Institute, established in 2010 by Stan and Alta Barer, focuses on the multidisciplinary role of law in promoting improved outcomes in health, education, economic development and the rule of law in developing countries and countries in political transition.

CASRIP

The Center for Advanced Study and Research on Innovation Policy (CASRIP) is home to UW School of Law’s IP, technology, art and entrepreneurship law initiatives.

GBLI

The Global Business Law Institute combines cutting edge teaching, research and scholarship in this field to prepare law students for international practice.

Native American Law Center

The Native American Law Center promotes the development of Indian law, and encourages Native Americans and others with an interest in Indian law to attend law school.

Center for an Informed Public

This interdisciplinary effort brings together world-class researchers, labs, thought leaders, and practitioners to translate research about misinformation and disinformation into policy, technology design, curriculum development and public engagement.

Gates PSL

The William H. Gates Public Service Law Program, named in honor of William H. Gates Sr. and his commitment to public service, is the central hub for public service and public interest law at UW Law.

Tech Policy Lab

The Tech Policy Lab is a unique, interdisciplinary collaboration at the University of Washington that aims to enhance technology policy through research, education, and thought leadership.

Space Law, Data and Policy

The Space Law, Data and Policy (SPACE LDP) Program is the world’s first interdisciplinary program focused at the nexus of outer space with law, data and policy in global affairs.
