High Tech Innovation in the Global Economy: Patents, Standards, and Competition
The UW Law’s Center for Advanced Study and Research on Innovation Policy (CASRIP) invites you to attend the 2021 Global Innovation Law Summit (GILS) webinars.
Patents play an important and sometimes controversial role in high tech innovation in the global economy. Governments and courts worldwide continue to evaluate their approach to patent eligibility and the terms and conditions that firms use to license standard essential patents. The 2021 Global Innovation Law Summit will explore these issues and, in partnership with UW Law’s Global Business Law Institute, also explore recent governmental efforts to regulate, legislate, and litigate to foster competition in the technology industry.
