Center for Advanced Study and Research on Innovation Policy Washington Pro Bono Patent Network

The Washington Pro Bono Patent Network is suspending its operation on March 31, 2023, and will no longer provide patent referral services for Washington residents. Starting on April 1, 2023, the California Inventor Assistance Program (“CIAP”) will start accepting Washington inventors and small businesses. If you are interested in obtaining assistance, complete the CIAP Referral Request form.

The Washington Pro Bono Patent Network ("the Network") matches financially under-resourced inventors in Washington state with volunteer patent attorneys providing free legal assistance in preparing and filing patent applications

The Network is operated by the University of Washington School of Law’s Center for Advanced Study and Research on Innovation Policy (CASRIP) and was launched with assistance from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
