Connect with Graduate Programs Admissions

Prospective applicants may visit the school and meet with the admissions staff and/or program directors to answer any questions they may have. We are happy to discuss our policies and procedures with applicants or prospective applicants, but these discussions do not affect the admission decision.

We are also happy to schedule a Skype/phone call with applicants located outside Seattle and the United States

Please email gradlaw@uw.edu to set up these appointments.

Visiting Campus

We look forward to welcoming you to campus. We recommend planning your visit during the academic year when classes are in session.

Building Tours

Guided Tours Our guided tours are by appointment only, scheduled at least a week in advance with your program. Please email gradlaw@uw.edu to set up the appointment.

Self-Guided Tours

Feel free to pick up a Self-Guided Tour at the Graduate Programs Office, Room 443, to tour William H. Gates Hall at your leisure during regular business hours.

Visit a Law School Class

Visiting a class is a great way to understand how law school is taught.

When visiting a class, please arrive early and introduce yourself to the professor as a visiting prospective student. Please take a seat in the back of the class, and ensure your cell phone is silent. To avoid disrupting the learning process, please plan to attend the entire class. If the professor offers a break, you may choose to leave at that time.

Occasionally a class will be cancelled on short notice, and while we will do our best to notify scheduled attendees of the cancellation, please understand that is not always possible--we appreciate your understanding.

Meet with an Admissions Representative

Our admissions representatives are ready to answer your questions. If you'd like to make an appointment with an admissions representative, please let us know when emailing gradlaw@uw.edu

Walk-in Visits

While we encourage you to schedule your visit in advance, we welcome walk-in visitors. Please feel free to stop by the Graduate Programs Office, Room 443, to ask any questions about the law school and admissions process, or to pick up a self-guided tour booklet.
