Intellectual Property Law

Seattle is the home of technology pioneers, such as Microsoft and Boeing, business model innovators, such as Amazon and Costco, and produces some of our favorite products, such as Starbucks. It is only natural that the University of Washington School of Law would be an innovator as well in legal education - first with our Intellectual Property concentration track, next with the graduate program in Intellectual Property Law and Policy, and now with the Master of Jurisprudence for Intellectual Property (IP) professionals.

The innovative intellectual property education at the UW is both deeply theoretical and extremely practical. Students seeking a Master of Jurisprudence in IP will benefit from these two traditions as they interact with full-time faculty and the wealth of experienced IP professionals who serve as adjunct faculty.
