Barbara Lock has over 30 years’ experience as an attorney and professor. She earned her J.D. from UCLA and her LL.M. in taxation from the University of Washington. She clerked for Chief Justice Dore of the Washington Supreme Court and then practiced tax, business and estate planning law in Seattle for almost twenty years. In 2010, she relocated to Boise to teach for the University of Idaho College of Law. She directed the federal tax clinic and taught courses in individual income tax, corporate income tax and wills and trusts during her ten years with the University of Idaho before deciding to return home to Washington in 2020.
