Before joining CPLD, Lisa served as a King County Superior Court Family Law Commissioner where she presided over cases involving domestic violence, child abuse & neglect, dissolutions/child custody, at risk youth/truancies, and mental health commitments. Prior to her 2006 appointment to the bench, she focused on social and health services as an Assistant Attorney General with the WA State Office of the Attorney General and family law with Evergreen Legal services in Yakima and Seattle.
Lisa graduated from UC Berkeley Boalt Hall School of Law in 1993. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Washington, and is an avid Huskies fan! The second youngest of 16, Lisa grew up in Eastern Washington (Yakima Valley).
Deeply committed to public service and mentoring students to become leaders in their communities, Lisa has participated in the Pre-Law Student Leadership Conference and Youth & the Law Forum for middle and high school students in Eastern Washington since 1994.
