Rebecca Ward Helterbrand

Rebecca Ward Helterbrand (she/her) is the Legal Publications Editor at UW School of Law. Rebecca attended Texas A&M University School of Law in Fort Worth for her JD and the University of Texas at Austin for her BA in Violin Performance and Music Business.

In law school, Rebecca primarily focused on intellectual property, earning a Concentration in IP with an emphasis on copyrights and trademarks. She also served as a citations editor on the board of Texas A&M Law Review, member of the trademark clinic, brief writer for moot court, and research assistant.

While Rebecca’s professional experience spans private practice, government affairs, and the nonprofit sector, her work has centered on legal research, writing, and editing, including white papers, amicus curiae briefs, manuscripts, and other works.

In her free time, Rebecca plays violin and enjoys climbing and reading.
