Watch Presidential Power in 2017
After the election, the question of what is within the scope of presidential authority has risen to the top of nearly every newspaper and broadcast. To gain some clarity around those questions, a sold-out crowd filled Town Hall for the panel discussion Presidential Power in 2017. The event featured six University of Washington School of Law faculty members who explored the law of executive power and how much one person can change with the stroke of a pen. From health care to immigration, the environment to public safety, panelists navigated the complicated waters of executive orders and the system of laws and constraints on a president.
