Special Event: Washington Supreme Court visits UW Law
This month, the state’s highest court is officially in session at the UW School of Law.
As part of a special traveling court event, the Washington State Supreme Court will hear three cases at William H. Gates Hall, providing the opportunity to see the court in action up close.
The visit also includes a celebration of the court’s newest justice, UW Law alumna Justice Raquel Montoya-Lewis ‘95, who became the first Native American woman to be appointed to the state’s highest bench.

The Washington legal community is invited to a public reception in honor of the historic appointment of Justice Raquel Montoya-Lewis, who became the first Native American woman to sit on the Washington Supreme Court.
