Congratulations to the UW Law alumni joining the Washington State Bar

UW Law is proud to announce a pass rate of nearly 91% for J.D. alumni taking the Washington State bar exam for the first time in July, according to results released by the Washington State Bar Association.
UW Law had 115 of 127 J.D. alumni passing. The overall state passage rate is about 81% with 416 of 515 test-takers passing.
Among all UW Law J.D. and LL.M. alumni, the pass rate was nearly 87% for first-time takers with 120 of 138 passing.
This rate surpasses the state’s overall pass rate for first-time takers, which the WSBA reported to be about 79% with 442 successful test-takers out of 561.
UW Law’s pass rate was the highest among the Washington law schools for both J.D. and LL.M. alumni first-time takers.
“Congratulations to our new Washington lawyers,” said Tamara F. Lawson, Toni Rembe Dean and professor of law. “We amplify the excellence and enthusiasm of our UW Law graduates as they join the profession and make an impact for justice.”
