Celebrating the Class of 2026
The class of 2026 is encouraged to be deliberate and unafraid to take risks — that is, to "think like a plaintiff — as they navigate their careers and lives.
The University of Washington School of Law celebrated its 2026 Commencement Ceremony on June 8 at Alaska Airlines Arena, honoring the achievements of graduates across its degree programs. Family, friends and alumni gathered to recognize candidates for the Ph.D., J.D., M.J. and LL.M. degrees as they marked the culmination of their studies, scholarship and service.
The ceremony featured remarks from Dean Tamara F. Lawson, Washington Attorney General Nick Brown and Professor Liz Porter, along with reflections from student speakers Alessandra Vargas and Xinyu Hu (“Dolly”). The program also recognized award recipients for their outstanding academic accomplishments, leadership and contributions to the law school community.
