In Memoriam: Jack Huston
Join us in remembering Professor Emeritus Jack Huston in a memorial service on June 13.
The University of Washington School of Law remembers Professor Emeritus John “Jack” Huston, a longtime faculty member and former Associate Dean, who passed away on Nov. 18, 2025, and whose service and scholarship left a lasting imprint on the institution. Learn more about Huston and his memorial service on June 13.
The late Dean Emeritus John R. Price wrote about Huston’s career upon his retirement:
Jack was a unique colleague from another perspective — during his entire teaching career he was incredibly dedicated and loyal to the law school, often at considerable personal inconvenience and expense. Colleagues and deans could always count on Jack to "carry the flag," rally the alumni, conceive and coordinate a CLE program, host visiting dignitaries, and otherwise put his fingers in the dike.
